Okay, I'm a music sponge, and I love listening to other peoples lists

I couldn't pick just a few.... so I've been making a Youtube Play list of stuff I've listened to recently or songs I have playlists of mine I frequent often. That way you can skip through anything you don't like =]

So... Here you go

MUSIC

(As a random side note the second to last song stars my fiery headed niece ^_^)

Been lurking on this thread for a while just bumming music off you people...

I typically enjoy instrumental music with no words and lots of piano, but lately I've been obsessed with Ellie Goulding's Halcyon Days album. I've never loved her music this much so I thought I'd share a few songs.

Only You
My Blood
Figure 8
Goodness Gracious

These are my favorites, but all of her stuff is excellent in my opinion.

i like ellie. her songs are so damn catchy.

so, in honor of the western thread i've been doing and the fact that i'm a huge justified fan, i highly recommend this kick ass track.

long hard times to come - gangstagrass and T.O.N.E.Z.

I'm just pleased "I Can't Decide" ended up on your official list, Lightning.

Anyway, I'll contribute again, but I warn you, my mood has been...jumpy of late, haha.

Also, Verse, I just imagine you singing every Simon Curtis song. Forever.

Joystick by Simon Curtis
The Devil's Trill by Vanessa Mae
Blinding by Florence and the Machine
Vitali-Chaconne
True Blood by Justin Timberlake

Krystal, I really like that Vanessa Mae song, oh and Florence- she and I agree with each other ^_^

I've just been sticking stuff on the top of the list I shared- I think I've put around 20 more songs on there since originally posting the link... yeah, I went back and listened to some old playlists and found a bunch of older stuff I still really like. =]

Discovered both thanks to suggestions from the amazing Lightning. I can't get enough of these songs. Everything Gramatik in particular does is absolutely fantastic.

Lonely Cold by Gramatik
Brighter than Gold by The Cat Empire

Edit//

I can't help it, I have to add one more.

Apparently Krystal and I have a song:
Poison

Here are some other classic rock that I like
Enter Sandman
Living on the Edge
Renegade
Took the Words Right Out of My Mouth

And it's so cute and fun
Heard it In a Love Song

And a couple more that have that fun feel to them:
Kiss That Frog
Up all Night

Alice Cooper and Metallica--I can't argue with these appearing on your list, Beau. The beautiful irony is you're the pretty blond this time.

To compliment, two of my favorite Metallica songs (I am pretty much in love with all of S&M though), and my favorite Alice...and then random "old" songs, since that's what my mood's shifted to:

No Leaf Clover
Gimme
The Devil Went Down to Georgia
Ready For Love
Lay It On The Line
Man On The Corner
Misunderstanding
Devil's Dance

And now K-Pop...because I have two friends who have been flooding me with it and I've given up on dignity.

Up & Down
Lucifer
Run Devil Run
Be The One
History
Mirotic

I didn't like that song when it first came out, but Pentatonix somehow manages to make everything sound amazing.

My sister sent me this because she knows my love for this movie. It's a cover of Frozen's "Let it Go." And when I listened to it, I didn't watch the video because I was working on a reply in another tab. I didn't realize how young this little girl was. Even if you don't like the song, you can't deny she is seriously talented! Also, the children dressed up as the characters is too adorable for words.

That was filmed in my state, about 4 hours north of where I live. The guys Alex sings a lot with - "The Piano Guys" live only 45 mins from me. =] I like that cover, the girl has an amazing voice at such a young age.

Oh that's so cool it was filmed near you! It's kind of a unique collaboration, or at least I thought. I'm gonna check out his other stuff. He seems to be popular on Youtube.

Though I usually prefer the Pentatonix covers of songs to the originals, I will say that the "Say Something" one is one I still prefer the original to. Props to Christina and such for that, but I do still adore the Pentatonix cover ^-^

So, a friend re-introduced me to Hot Chelle Rae, and then I've just been jamming to some other things:

I Like It Like That (may or may not have been singing this one too loud last night)
Downtown Girl
Mirrors
Hanging Tree
Song of the Fayth, Bahamut (because my brother has been talking non-stop about FFX again)

Song of the Fayth, Bahamut (because my brother has been talking non-stop about FFX again)

Hymn of the Fayth will haunt my dreams for an eternity.

The Final Fantasy series always has the best soundtracks. To that end, I've been playing a ton of FFXIV the past month or so. Love the boss music for Ultima. Picks up at about 1:15.

But if we're talking about FF music, I can't possibly go without mentioning my favorites. Nobou Uemastsu is a god.

Liberi Fatali
One Winged Angel
To Zanarkand

I LOVE YOU PRIDE.

I had been trying to remember what the song from FFVIII was that I loved so much. Liberi Fatali. Thank you!

Edit:

...

"Make me your Aphrodite"--You're in Egypt! HATHOR! HA-THOR.

I mean. I find this song ridiculously catchy and I don't know how to feel about that.

Happy- I love the original version of this song too, it's so fun ^^

I found an old CD I made many years ago.  Haven't heard this song for a long time.  The lyrics are quite good.  For those of you still in school, we present Closer To Fine

Pach, if you're gonna suggest Pentatonix, then how dare you forget the cover they did with Lindsey Sterling on Imagine Dragon's "Radioactive"?! *shakes head* :P

Shake It Out - Florence + The Machine (honorable mention: Glee)
Do I Wanna Know? - Arctic Monkeys
Innocence - Halestorm
This Ain't A Scene, It's An Arms Race - Fall Out Boy
Dance Dance - Fall Out Boy
The Phoenix - Fall Out Boy

My current obsession: Push by Matchbox 20

<3 Great music so far, guys!
